- This master plan document summarizes the results of the Riverside Regional Park Signage & Wayfinding study and recommendations. The study aimed to establish a wayfinding strategy and design guidelines for signage. A preliminary sign location plan is included to guide subsequent implementation.
The master plan document is structured in the following sections:
Section 1 Wayfinding Assessment recognizes the vision of the 2015 Riverside Regional Park Master Plan that identifies the need for a unified brand identity system. It also incorporates on-site observations, diagrams of the existing visitor experience to the Park, opportunities, and recommendations.
Section 2 Branding Strategy summarizes the findings from understanding the Park’s core values to guide the development of the proposed brand identity system.
Section 3 Wayfinding Strategy describes the design principles and proposed sign system components, including a hierarchy of sign types, placemaking considerations, and other informational sign systems. This section also includes a preliminary sign location plan to reference as projects in Riverside Regional Park are implemented.
